The HeliosXerxes ChatRoom is an entirely Java-based system.
To run the HeliosXerxes ChatRoom on your server:
1) Upload all of the classes to your server, classes beginning with E comprise the server-side application code and all other classes comprise the applet code.
2) To start the server-side code, type in the following on the command-line java EChatServer XXXXX & where XXXXX is a number greater than 1024 and preferably higher, possibly around 5000 or 6000.
3) Did this work? (You got a message saying server was set up.)
Yes-skip goto 4 and keep a note of the port you set up the chatroom on.
No-
Most likely explanations:
a) You don't have java running on your server, after all. You can't use the HeliosXerxes ChatRoom.
b) You typed in a bad port number; you may have typed in a non-numeric string, or another application may be running on the port you tried to open. In either case, try again.
Other possibilities:
c) Perhaps the byte codes were corrupted when you uploaded them or the server you're on may not be configured properly.
4) Add the following html code to the html document, e.g., chatroom.html, which will display the chat room
Here again, XXXXX denotes the port number on the server. This must be the same number you typed in step 2).
ZZZZZ denotes the codebase where your classes are stored. That is, it must be of the form http://www.myWebPage.com
5) You're ready to try out your chatroom. Go to http://www.myWebPage.com/chatroom.html, or whatever you called the html document on which the applet is to be displayed.
6) Follow the directions which appear on the applet. Sign on. You should get a statement to the effect that you're the only participant signed on. (You after all, did just set up the chat room.) Type in some messages and see what happens.
As with everything else on the web, the chatroom runs only as fast as the web allows. So you may notice that sometimes it runs nice and fast and sometimes it may be painfully slow.
Yes, you may operate as many chat rooms as you like. (See License Agreement.) Only, remember to set up each separate chat room on a separate port. Remember also to include a link to our site, www.heliosxerxes.com.

Neither HeliosXerxes Enterprises, its employees, nor its affiliates shall be held responsible for any damage, unlikely though it is, to the licensee's software, hardware systems, career, personal life, or bad harvest, that may result from the installation and use of the HeliosXerxes ChatRoom.
By uploading the HeliosXerxes ChatRoom classes to a server, you agree to terms specified.
