PHONE BOOK v3.1 A DOS based program that helps you manage your telephone number records with absolute flexibility and reliability. FEATURES: * The program has a completely menu based interface which makes it easier to navigate the program. * You can partition your telephone number records into many books which helps you organize data efficiently. For example, you can create a book named friends.phb to store telephone numbers of your friends and a book named business.xyz to store data concerned with your business. * You can store upto 3 telephone numbers in a single record. * Each book allows you to store a maximum of 100 records. However, you can create many such books and hence the total number of records you can store is limitless (if friends.phb is full, you can always create friends2.phb). USAGE: Using phone book is really really simple. Follow on-screen instructions during the execution of the program. Some points worth noting are: * Navigation of the menu is simple. Use UP/DOWN arrow keys. You can also use number keys to choose appropriate items. Frequently, you come across scrollable lists. Use UP/DOWN arrow keys to navigate the list. * To create a new book, choose 'Book' at main menu, then choose 'Create new book'. You will be asked to enter file name and file extension. file name is mandatory but you can skip file extension. The default extension is .phb which will be appended if you leave extension field empty. * When you begin the program, no book is open as shown at the bottom of the screen. You can open an existing book by selecting 'Book' and then 'Open existing book'. You will be provided with a list of existing books. Use UP/DOWN arrow keys to navigate through them and press ENTER to choose a book. The book is opened for use. Now, you can work with the records of that book alone. You cannot open multiple books. * Once a book is opened, you can use menu items to do following things: New - Enter a new record into currently open book. View - View the contents of the book.
