Texas Instruments, Inc. TIMAC-CC2530 Release Notes -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Version TIMAC-1.3.0 June 21, 2009 Changes: - This is the inital release of the TI 802.15.4 MAC software for the CC2530, banked and non-banked configurations. Beacon-enabled networks are supported in both configurations. - The IAR Embedded Workshop EW8051 v7.51A compiler was used to build libraries and test the sample application. - This release has been 802.15.4 conformance tested. Bug Fixes: - Improvements to high-level TIMAC functionality are incorporated from other platforms, most notably the CC2430: - Modified MAC buffer management to prevent rare occurance of of allocated memory "double-free" during heavy traffic. (2896) - Removed range checks on MAX_CSMA_BACKOFFS and MAX_BE parameters in the MAC PIB, to permit proprietary/experimental configurations. (2873) - Fixed a sleep problem in Coordinator devices when Beacon Order is 10 or greater. (2853) - Added protection for a second invalid random number generator seed value - 0x8003. (2822) - Fixed a problem with MAC dynamic buffer management, mostly TX queue, during heavy device joining traffic. (2763) - Fixed a problem that could happen if more than one MAC timer was set to expire on the same backoff. (2478) - Added cleanup to the RX logic after changing the radio channel when busy receiving a frame. (2454) - Changed the "mac_api.h" file to allow MAC_MAX_FRAME_SIZE to be defined from config file or command line. The default size remains at 102 bytes. (2262) Known Issues: - CC2530-CC2590EM TXPOWER table and RSSI Offset parameters are not available at the time of this release. Please contact LP-RF support for updates. (2583) - Device may not track beacon if beacon payload is too long.
