All rights reserved. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- RTC Client API v1.3 RTCOutgoing.exe SDK sample Description ======= RTCOutgoing uses the RTC Client API to create PC-to-PC, PC-to-Phone, and Phone-to-Phone sessions. This sample also can allow T120 Application Sharing in PC-to-PC sessions, and audio and video equipment tuning. This sample was developed using Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0. Configuration and Setup =============== Operating System: Microsoft Windows XP and Microsoft Windows Server 2003, Standard Edition Building the Sample ============ * Verify that the Microsoft Platform SDK and Microsoft Visual Studio are installed on the computer. * Open the Platform SDK build environment for Windows XP. * Change the directory to the RTCOutgoing sample code directory. * Set the Include path to point to the include files that came with RTC Client API v1.3 SDK. * Run "nmake" at the command line. Note: MFC unicode binaries are needed to build and run the sample. When installing Visual Studio, click the entry that installs MFC unicode libraries and binaries as well. How to Run the Sample =============== * Run RTCOutgoing.exe. * Select the type of session to be created or start the Tuning Wizard by clicking "Tune" prior to making calls. * You may also select application sharing for a PC-to PC call. * When the call is complete, click "Disconnect" to terminate the call or the call will automatically be terminated if the callee has been disconnected. * The Participant list will hold the list of participants in a session. Multiple participants are only supported in Phone-to-Phone session types. Sample Functionality ============= The sample demonstrates how to: * Create PC-to-PC, PC-to-Phone, Phone-to-Phone sessions using the RTC Client v1.3 * Use Application Sharing * Use the Tuning Wizard * Follow RTC Eventing * Use the IVideoWindow The sample does not demonstrate how to: * Create an IM (instant messaging) session * Handle presence, local provisioning, or registration
