HART MASTER SOFTWARE The unzipped contents consist of source code (in C) and executable files for a DOS-Based HART Master. This software was originally written to allow reading and writing of most universal parameters of HART Field Instruments. The things it does are Flash LEDs Select Field Instrument Get Field Instrument Characteristics Read Primary Variable Read Process Variables Select Primary Variable Write Primary Variable Control Calibrate Write New Polling Address Write Tag, Descriptor, and Date to Field Instrument Write Message to Field Instrument Reset Field Instrument User-Defined Command Quit It also creates a database of Field Instruments and allows creation of user commands. The concepts or code may still be helpful to you if you're doing HART development. Some of the tables of HART paramters, errors, etc. are also quite extensive and may be of use. We mention them only to present the information as completely as possible. The software doesn't necessarily provide the timing needed for HART Master arbitration. The file tmbuild.sh is a batch file for command line compile, link, etc.
