Files in this directory: ------------------------ Makefile: Makefile for compilation README: This file main.cc: The file containing the main program. common.h: Some global '#define's mkdep: Accompanies the Makefile (used by 'make depend' command) rng.{cc,h}: random number generator. Used from ns-2 distribution. road.{cc,h}: Code for class Road intersection.{cc,h}: Code for class Intersection vehicle.cc.{cc,h}: Code for class Vehicle statistics.{cc,h}: Code for maintaining statistics. run.bash: example script to run the executable. Scripts/: directory containing script that process TIGER/Line data files and generates files in a format which are expected by the 'road-scen-gen' executable. See Scripts/README for more details. How to compile: --------------- Step 1. make clean Step 2. make depend Step 3. make Step 4. Verify that an executable by the name of 'road-scen-gen' has been created. How to run: ----------- Check Scripts/README to check how to generate the input file that road-scen-gen will use. ./road-scen-gen

run.bash provides an example on how to use the executable to generate scenario files. The 'input file' required by road_scen_gen is generated by running two scripts present in ./Scripts/ directory: the 'chop.bash' script and the 'cutout.bash' script. The instructions for these scripts are present in Vanet2004/Scripts/README. All of the command line arguments are self explanatory except the first one, i.e. 'input file'. The input file is generated from a TIGER/Line data file and the script for generating such an input file is presented in the Scripts/ directory.
