Release Notes upm_URF.pl, upm_MGP.pl ----------------------------------------------------- These scripts are intended to aid developers in creating UPM tables for Freescale's PowerQUICC (PQ1, PQ2, PQ3) family of processors. The intent of these scripts are to convert from an existing assembly file format UPM table, and convert it into the appripriate formats to be read in by Freescale's PQ1 and PQ2/PQ3 UPM tools so that the UPM table may be viewed as a waveform from within the tool The upm_MGP.pl Perl script will take an existing assembly file format UPM table, and convert it to the Freescale's propritary ".mgp" format to be read in by Freescale's UPM860 tool. ----------------------------------------------------- usage: upm_MGP.pl INFILE OUTFILE an example INFILE upmtable.s and OUTFILE out.mgp have been included in this release. ----------------------------------------------------- The upm_URF.pl Perl script is intended to aid developers in creating UPM tables for Freescale's 82xx and 85xx family of processors. ----------------------------------------------------- usage: upm_URF.pl INFILE OUTFILE an example INFILE upmtable.s and OUTFILE out.URF have been included in this release. ----------------------------------------------------- WINDOWS: Windows does not natively come with perl scripting capability. However there are open source releases available. One such can be downloaded from ActiveState at: http://www.activestate.com/Products/ActivePerl/
