This package included three directories. One is for hardware, one is
for software and one is for utility. I gather them from Internet or our server.
Hardware:
1. I put on both of formats on this directory. One is OrCad 7.3x format
and another is TIF format.
2. If you don't want to use 93c46, you can refer
to non9346.pdf and noneprom.txt. Please pull LOW in EEDO pin.
3. If you implement the device which doesn't have standard ISA signals. Your
CPU should simulate ISA signals.
4. The IOCHDRY signal only related to "read current register" (page1, 07h).
5. The other word, you could floating these pins which you don't use them in 8019AS.
6. The transformer should use Tums Ratio 1:1 with Low Pass Filter.
7. Crystal Specification, please refer to crystal-8019.pdf
8. 93C46.BIN is binary code of 9346.
Software:
1. 8019 doesn't have external DMA controller. so yu should reading/writing
from/to the IOPORT directly.
2. We are very sorry we don't have enough documents for this chip.Basically,
8019as is NE2000 compatible so we suggest customers refer to documents of NS8390 series
at http://www.national.com/.
3. 8019as is for adjust to NE2000 software structure, the transmit buffer between
40h to 4Bh and receiver buffer should between 4Ch to 80h in 16 bits control.
In 8 bits control, the transmit buffer should between 40h to 46h and receiver
buffer between 4Ch to 60h.
4. I also put our packet driver, Novell client, 9346 program source code and Linux
source code for your reference. If you need extra source code, you could contact our sales
Mr. Jill (jilll@realtek.com.tw) to sign NDA.
Tool:
1. "pg8019.exe": We provide a program can program 9346 on DOS environment. The main
program call pg8019.exe. If you want modify hardware parameter, you should modify
config file 8019as.cfg
2. "rset8019.exe": It is a diagnostic program can do easy exam hardware.
3. "testio16.com": This is a program can check register status on DOS environment.
