I - TO INSTALL HOMTOOLS

1- Unpack the archive (zip file) in a directory
2- Modify or create the abaqus_v6.env file in your home directory with the
following line:
plugin_central_dir = "/path/to/homtools/dir"

II - KNOW ISSUES
***********************
- array object is normaly used from numpy. If an error message is encountered
due to numpy, replace
from numpy import ...
by
from Numeric import ...
in homogeneTraction.py, periodicBoundaryStruct.py, macroSphere.py
- lang issue in abaqus V6.13: depending on our locales settings abaqus cae
can return an error message while charging python plugins like:
" unicode() argument 2 must be string, not none"
for linux-users this bug can be avoid by launching abaqus with the
following command:
env LC_ALL="en_US.UTF8" abaqus cae
previously your system need to be configurated with en_US.UTF8, on
debian-like system this can be done with the following command (as root):
dpkg-reconfigure locales
