Unit Conversion - Version 2 Author: Mike Thomson Summary: MATLAB function, GUI & Simulink block for Unit Conversion. MATLAB Release: R13 Description: 1) A MATLAB function to return unit conversion factors & offsets. 2) A GUI tool to allow selection of the unit types and perform unit conversion calculations. 3) A Simulink block (with callback to GUI) which applies the unit conversion to a signal in a model. To use the functions (.m files) put them anywhere on the Matlab search path. NB: unitconversion has NOT been written for speed of execution; use it for conversion of inputs and outputs before and after main program execution. To put the "Unit Conversion" block on the simulink Library Browser, place slblocks and the libraries anywhere on the Matlab search path. Alternatively, edit the libraries as you see fit or move the "Unit Conversion" block from gains_lib.mdl to an existing library. To find out more on how to add blocks to the Simulink Library Browser, search for help on "slblocks". To use the custom help files: If you don't already have custom help: extract the contents of "userhelp.zip" into "...\MATLAB6p?\userhelp"; extract zip files within userhelp into subdirectories of the same name; move the file "...\MATLAB6p?\userhelp\customerdoc.xml" to "...\MATLAB6p?\help\customerdoc.xml"; restart matlab and you should find the user help files available in the Matlab Help window, Help Navigator pane, at the bottom of the Contents tab. If you already use the custom help: edit your "...\MATLAB6p?\userhelp\customerdoc.xml" file to include reference to the provided html files as you see fit.
