This is a chrome extension that automatically generate summaries of text, allowing you to quickly understand the main points without having to read the entire message. It is powered by OpenAI's GPT3. It'll go a long way to keeping this free for as long as possible! https://www.buymeacoffee.com/dahliasan ### How to install Download on the chrome webstore [here](https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/tldr-summary-generator/khkckpdkkddnlhfebcglejikmgmimado)! **Or manually install (if you want the latest version)** 1. download the entire repo as a zip file on github 2. unzip the package 3. go to your browser's extensions page 4. turn on developer mode 5. click on "load unpacked", select the "extension" folder. ### How to use #### Generating a summary There are 2 ways to generate a summary: 1. **Entire webpage** “ Right-click anywhere on a webpage > click 'summarize this!' 2. **A selection of text** “ Highlight the text you want summarize > right-click anywhere on the page > click 'summarize this!' #### Searching your history of summaries You can search your summaries semantically!
