To prevent MATLAB from using other startup files by accident, create another environmental variable to locate *your* startup file ``` export STARTUP=/where-you-put-your-start-up-file/ ``` Then, append this line to the end of *your* startup file ``` addpath(genpath(getenv('STARTUP'))) ```
