This file contains important information regarding NI-DSA, which is organized in the following sections: 1. Installed File Names and Locations. 2. Uninstalling the Instrument Driver. 3. Installed File Names and Locations: ----------------------------------------------------------- This particular installation of NI-DSA installed files for the following National Instruments drivers: 2. Uninstalling the Instrument Driver: ---------------------------------------------------------- Windows 95 and Windows NT: Open the Control Panel from the Start->Settings Menu and choose "Add/Remove Programs". Select "National Instruments DSA" in the list provided and click on the "Add/Remove" button. 3. Using the NI-DSA Instrument Driver: ---------------------------------------------------------- You can find documentation for the NIDSA Instrument Driver in the NIDSAC.HLP (C programming help) or NIDSAVB.HLP (BASIC programming help) files. You can access these files from the NIDSA program group. Programming in LabVIEW: ---------------------------------------------------------- To get started using the Instrument Driver, you should run the NIDSA Getting Started.vi located in the Instrument Drivers:NIDSA:Examples subpalette. To get started writing your own application, examine the diagram of the NIDSA Getting Started.vi example. For documentation on using individual NI-DSA instrument driver VIs, please refer to the VI's descriptions by selecting the Windows>>Show VI Info... menu item from the VI's front panel or block diagram. Programming in LabWindows/CVI: ---------------------------------------------------------- To get started using the Instrument Driver, start CVI, and choose File/Open .prj file: c:\CVI\instr\niDSA\niDSA Shortcut\examples\CVI Open any of the project files in this directory. These projects made simple examples which will help you get started. Using VirtualBench-DSA: ---------------------------------------------------------- Run VirtualBench-DSA from the Start->National Instruments VirtualBench-DSA->VirtualBench-DSA Menu. This will open the VirtualBench-DSA instrument panel which you use to interactively control your DSA instrument. 4.
