PLL.m – Main simulation file: the user has to run this file to start the simulation. - FilterDesign.m – function used for designing the loop filter o LoopTransferFunc.m – function that determines the loop transfer function from the integrator gains of the loop filter - ComputeEquivBW.m – function that evaluates the equivalent loop bandwidth of the designed loop - NoisePropagation.m – function that determines a constant term used for converting the standard deviation of the loop filter output into the tracking jitter - GenerateNoiseVector.m – functions that generates the noise components of the correlator outputs - SetLoopCoefficients – function used for generating a loop filter object that is initialized according to the initial errors from the acquisition stage - InitializeNCO.m – function that initializes the NCO object - UpdateNCO.m – function that updates the NCO - EvaluateError.m - function to evaluate delay error. - GenerateSignalCorrelation.m – function used to convert the loop errors (phase and frequency) into the signal component of the correlator outputs o sinc.m - function that computes the sine cardinal - CombSignalNoise.m - function to combine signal and noise components. - UpdateDiscriminator.m – function used to update the non-linear discriminator. In this case, a standard Costas discriminator is implemented. - UpdateFilter.m – function that updates the loop filter object Installation 1. Unzip SATLSim.rar into a destination directory (SATLSim) 2. Set matlab current directory to \SATLSim\PLL 3. Type PLL in the command window and press enter 4. Matlab plots for the tracking jitter shall be produced. 5. Compare the obtained plots with the example plots provided in \SATLSim\PLL\SamplePlots to verify proper installation Link The SATLSim toolbox can be found on the GPS Toolbox web site at http://www.ngs.noaa.gov/gps-toolbox/. The latest version can also be obtained from the Position Location And Navigation (PLAN) website under the section Publications (http://plan.geomatics.ucalgary.ca/publications.php).
