-------------------------------------------------- USB Interrupt Example Readme File Copyright (C) 2004 Silicon Laboratories, Inc. -------------------------------------------------- 1.0 COMPONENTS ----------------------- This release contains the following components: * USB Interrupt Driver Example * USB Interrupt Firmware Example * Host Application (USBTest.exe) * Host Application Source Last updated 19 oct 2004 2.0 DRIVER INSTALLATION ----------------------- Follow these instruction to exercise the example firmware and driver: 1. Open the Silicon Laboratories IDE (v1.72 or later). 2. From IDE menu Options->Debug Interface, select C2. 3. Connect to the target C8051F32x device (Alt+C, or IDE menu Debug->Connect). 4. From the Project menu, select "Open Project" (a warning dialogue may appear; this is expected). 5. Browse to directory ..\USB_INT\Firmware and select file USB_Int.wsp. 6. Through IDE menu Project->Tool Chain Integration, select the path to your compiler and linker. The default is "C:\Silabs\MCU\IDEFiles\C51\Bin\". 7. Build the project (F7, or through IDE menu Project->Build/Make Project). 8. Download the firmware (Alt+D). 9. Connect a USB cable between the target device and the host PC. 10. Run (F5, or IDE menu Debug->Go). 11. When Windows detects the device and the driver installation wizard opens: a. Choose "Search for a suitable driver for my device", and click Next. b. Check the box "Specify a location", and click Next. c. Browse to directory ..\USB_Int and select the file SilabsInt.inf, and click OK. d. Follow the dialogue to finish driver installation. 12. After the driver has been installed, run the USBTest.exe application located in the ..\USB_Int directory. 3.0 REVISION HISTORY --------------------- Version 1.1 Modified to support *** byte transfers. Modified to support queueing of multiple read requests(up to 8). Version 1.0 Initial release.
