The Project is an optical character recongnition application using artificial neural networks. it uses the multi-layer perceptron model and employs the generalized delta learning rule. the activation function used is the bipolar hyperbolic tangent function.
the training is a supervised learning process that takes image files of characters as input (72 pts. size (black pixels, white background) and saved as a bitmap (*.bmp) file). the desired output is the same set of characters in a text file (saved as *.cts (character trainer set) extension and stored in the same folder with the bitmap input image)
I have included sample training sets and also saved network files (*.ann) in respective folders.
Play with the different features and have fun.
I am ready for any difficulties to clarify and opinions.
