IMPORTANT NOTE:
The IEC 61850 server contains a web server. If another web server is
currently running on your machine please stop the other web server!
This demonstration contains a demo server (winserv with a relay model)
and a demo client (browzer). Both, the server and the client have a
configuration file containing all the configuration settings.
They can be changed either via the configuration window or a text editor.
Running the client and the server on the same machine
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
The configuration is prepared to run the server and the browzer
on the same host. To get started simply run the client (BrowzerD.exe)
and the server (WinServD.exe). In the browzer window press the
"Connect" button. In the opening "Connect to..." window leave the
settings unchanged and press "Connect". The browzer now reads
in the self description of the device (server) and starts reporting.
For each logical node there will appear a button in the browzer's
main window. To browse through the object tree press one of these buttons.
Running the client and the server over a network
-------------------------------------------------------------------
If you want to capture the communication data with the Unica Analyzer,
you need to run the client and the server on different hosts. The main
serverside setting to get startet is "local_nsap" in the [RFC1006] section.
To use the default IP address leave it empty. On the client side you have
to define a new server in the "Servers" section of the configuration window.
To do so press the "New" button and enter a server name, then press "Ok"
and enter the "remote_nsap" address. Then activate the settings by pressing
the "Apply" button. (If you want to store the changed settings to disk use
"Save Configuration" in the "File" menue.) Now you can connect to the
remote server by pressing the "Connect button".
Start the Unica Analyzer and capture up to 11 frames.
