TaskInfo v.3.0 for Windows 95/***/ME/NT/2000 ================================================ TaskInfo2000 is an utility that combines features of Task Manager and System Information. It visually monitors different types of system information in Windows 95/***/ME/NT/2000 and allows to copy such information to clipboard or a text file. It also allows to run/stop processes and force shutdown/restart of system. TaskInfo2000 is not freeware, it is a shareware program. You may use it for no more than 30 days for free, and you must register it after this trial period expires. Registration fee for TaskInfo2000 single user license is US $12. For more information about registration see 'Register.txt' located in directory where the program is installed. Next features are disabled in non-registered version: -- processes sorting options -- hide unnamed Win32 handles option -- manual setting and saving of column sizes in "System" and "Selected Process Info" Panes. -- saving of Sort column numbers in "System" and "Selected Process Info" Panes. You can distribute TaskInfo2000 anywhere you want, but you must not alter original set of files in program distribution archive. This text file 'Readme.txt' must always be included. ABOUT THE PROGRAM ================= TaskInfo2000 shows information about all running processes and threads (including Windows 9x ring0 VxD threads) in real time. Information about each process includes: - threads - CPU usage - scheduling rate - path - open files - command line - environment variables - memory usage - DLLs in usage - and other System information includes: - CPU, memory and cache usage - data rates for disk, network, dial-up and other - all open files - CPU identification information (type, model/step etc.) - loaded kernel drivers information - OS version info and system directories - logged user and computer name - IP network host name and IP names/addresses on network adapters - power status (including battery status for portable PCs) TaskInfo also allows to: - run new processes - force termination of badly behaving processes - change process priority - shutdown/restart system SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS =================== Minimal: 80486/66 MHz CPU, Pentium or better is recommended System: Windows 95/***/NT/2000 (Windows 3.x is not supported) Single and multiple CPU systems are supported. INSTALLATION ============ To install the program on your computer, run 'Setup.exe'. It will copy all needed files to a directory that you want, create entries in the system 'Start' menu and update system information needed for proper work of TaskInfo2000. IMPORTANT: TaskInfo2000 must be installed by a user with administrative privileges in Windows NT/2000; installation directory must be on a local drive under these systems. After successful installation any user on this computer can run TaskInfo.
