Welcome using the EM4094 Development Kit Application Software release 0.18

The EM4094 Development Kit Application Software is a user front-end application
for communication with EM4x35/EM4034/EM4006 chip using the EM4094 Development Kit.
This file contains minimal informations to start installation.
1. The EM4094 Development Kit Application Software requirements
The minimal configuration to install and run EM4094 Development Kit Application Software;
Windows 95/***/NT/XP, 10MB HDD space, 800x600 pixels video resolution.
2. Installing software
Run the file SETUP.EXE which is in the same directory as the present file.
3. Installing hardware
Using serial cable - connect the EM4094 Development Kit to a free serial port (COM1, COM2)
using the serial cable. Power the reader on.
Using USB cable - power the reader on. Connect the EM4094 Development Kit to a free USB port
using the USB cable. Operating system will detect the EM4094 Development Kit and it will ask
for the appropriate drivers (located in drivers directory on installation CD). For the driver
installation, administrator privilege level is neccessary. The driver implements a virtual
serial port (e.g., COM3) that is used like a standard serial port.
4. Software setup
The EM4094 Development Kit Application Software sets itself into idle state after startup.
Please, select the COM port the reader is connected to.
5. Firmware and Application Software limitations
EM4094 Development Kit Firmware and Application Software in this release have several
limitations;
EM4135 Read Multiple Block command can read 1 block only
EM4135 Inventory process is supported in 1 Time Slot ASK mode only
Key update supported for ATMega crypto engine only
