说明： The PCI Local bus concept was developed to break
the PC data I/O bottleneck and clearly opens the door
to increasing system speed and expansion capabilities.
The PCI Local bus moves high speed peripherals
from the I/O bus and places them closer to the system’s
processor bus, providing faster data transfers
between the processor and peripherals. The PCI Local
bus also addresses the industry’s need for a bus standard
which is not directly dependent on the speed,
size and type of system processor. It represents the
first microprocessor independent bus offering performance
more than adequate for the most demanding
applications such as full-motion video.

The CD-ROM contains three folders: S5335 Hardware, S5335 Software, and S5335 Documentation.
To begin using the S5335DK developer kit, please read the S5335DK User Manual. The file is located in /S5335 Documentation/Dev Kit Manual.
S5335 Documentation:

This directory contains S5335 development kit user manual and S5335 data sheet. Please visit www.amcc.com for the latest data sheet revision.
S5335 Hardware:

This directory contains schematics, bill of materials, PCB design, and CPLD code.
S5335 Software:
----------------------
This directory contains all of the software for use with the 5335 Development
Board. Included are the following:
5335 Application Installation:
----------------------------------------
This directory contains the installaion files for the 5335 PCI Development Board
Application, AMCCPCI5335Win.exe and AMCCPCIAddOn5335Win.exe. These applications is used to set and read the many
control and status bits found in the 5335. AMCCPCI5335Win.exe is used for PCI initiated bus master operation and AMCCPCIAddOn5335Win.exe is used for AddOn side initiated bus master operation.
The installation procedure is outlined in Chapter 3 of the 5335 Developer's Kit Manual.
Source code for this application is NOT included on the CDROM.
5335 Driver Installation:
--------------------------------
This directory contains the system driver (siwdm.sys) for the 5335 PCI Development Board
and the associated INF files required to install the board and drivers in the Windows
system.
The installation procedure is outlined in Chapter 3 of the 5335 Developer's Kit Manual.
Source code for this driver is NOT included on the CDROM.
5335 NVRAM Tool Application:
-------------------------------------------
This directory contains the source code files for the 5335 PCI Development Board
NVRAM Tool Application. This apprication is used to set and read the NVRAM on the
5335 Development Board. This applications requires the Microsoft Visual C/C++,
Version 6.0 (or later) C compiler in order to be modified and compiled. The
directory:
"5335 Software\5335 NVRAM Tool Application\Win_2K_NVRAM_Tool\sidev\siddk\
siddk_amcc\apps\amcc\AMCCPCIWin"
contain the Visual C/C++ progect files (AMCCPCI3Win.dsw) for the application.
Additionally, this directory includes the source code for the system driver for the
NVRAM Tool which can be compiled and installed.
In order to compile this system driver, the appropriate Device Driver Kit (DDK) for the
Windows system to be used must be installed, along with an appropriate C compiler, such
as Microsoft Visaul C/C++, Version 6.0.
** WARNING **
This driver does NOT support all the functions required by the AMCCPCI5335Win.exe
application, and if this NVRAM version of the system driver is installed over the top of
the full version, the AMCCPCI5335Win.exe will not function properly.
** WARNING **
Writing Windows drivers is NOT for the inexperienced. Installing and using the Windows
DDK requires a certain amount of programming expertise.
The installation procedure is outlined in Chapter 2 of the 5335 Developer's Kit Manual.
5335 NVRAM Files:
---------------------------
This directory contains a few NVRAM image files that can be burned into the NVRAM of the
5335 PCI Development Board using either the AMCCPCI5335Win.exe or the NVRAM Tool application.
All files are in the Intel Hex format. The files are:
5335_io_mem.hex Defines BADDR0 as I/O mapped, BADDR1-BADDR4 as memory mapped
5335_mem_mem.hex Defines BADDR0-BADDR4 as memory mapped
5335_EXBIOS.hex Sample NVRAM program that defines BADDR0-BADDR4 as memory mapped and
includes a BIOS function called at boot time
The 5335_mem_mem.hex file is the image that is customarily burned into the NVRAM and shipped
with the 5335 Developemnt Board.
