A.Contents of the zip file
In the zip file you downloaded you will find the following files:
1. SmartGuestbook.mdb (Access Database)
2. SmartGuestbook.swf (Flash Interface)
3. SmartGuestbook.asp (ASP file where the Flash interface is placed)
4. SmartGuestbookCode.asp (ASP file accessed by the .swf file)
5. Javascript.txt (Head Content Javascript code if required as described below)
6. CloseWindow.htm (to automatically close the window)
B. Installation steps
1. Important: Place the database (SmartGuestbook.mdb file) ,the SmartGuestbookCode.asp page and the CloseWindow.htm page under your web site’s root directory only.
2. You can place the Flash interface file (SmartGuestbook.swf file) in two ways:
a. In the images folder under site root (no modifications required anywhere).
b. If you are familiar with Macromedia Dreamweaver or any other HTML tool that allows you to place a Flash movie in your page then place the SmartGuestbook.swf file anywhere but give the correct path to it in the SmartGuestBook.asp page where the SmartGuestbook.swf file is placed.
3. You can place the SmartGuestbook.asp anywhere. Let us call its location Path(G).
4. Now you are ready to call your Guestbook from anywhere in your site.

5. If you wish to keep the guest-book inside one of your site pages then you should follow the following two steps:
a. Retain the code between the tags. To do this just copy and paste all the code in the Javascript.txt file (also present in the SmartGuestbook.asp page) in between the Head tags of your alternate page.
b. Now place the SmartGuestBook.swf file in your page body by adding the following code wherever you want the Guest-Book to appear.

c. if the SmartGuestbook.swf file is not placed directly under the 'images' folder then change the path to its new location using dreamweaver, or any other tool that allows flash (.swf) files to be placed in html code.
CAUTION: Apart from the path to the SmartGuestbook.swf file do not change the above pasted code as the guest-book will not function properly.
6. The CloseWindow.htm page can be used to close any web page in your site. Use it if required by using a simple link as below.
