README: Motorola CPV3060 This file contains board-specific information for the Motorola cpv3060 target board. Specifically, this file contains information on any BSP interface changes from previous software or hardware versions, and contains caveats that the user must be aware of before using this BSP. Additionally, the target board's reference entry (i.e., cpv3060/target.nr) provides board-specific information necessary to run VxWorks, and should be read before this BSP is used. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- EARLY ACCESS RELEASE (BSP Version 1.2/0.3): This release fixes a problem with SBRAM sizing in sysLib.c, this is the only change from version 0.2. EARLY ACCESS RELEASE (BSP Version 1.2/0.2): This BSP supports the CPV3060. This is the second release of the BSP for the Motorola CPV3060 board. It will only work on Tornado 2.0 due to the new FEC END driver being used in the BSP. Tornado 1.0.1 is NOT supported! The following are the changes that have been made to create the 0.2 version of the BSP: - Upgrade of the FEC driver to WRS END compatibility. - Make the VPD interface compatible with the current MCG standard as defined for the MVME2100/2400 BSPs. - Support auto detection and sizing of SBRAM. **************************************************************************** **** A REQUIREMENT FOR THIS BSP TO WORK IS THE VPD AND SPD SROMS **** **** ON THE BOARD MUST BE PROGRAMMED CORRECTLY!!!! IF THEY ARE **** **** INCORRECT OR NOT PROGRAMMED, THE BSP WILL NOT RUN. **** **************************************************************************** Known problems: 1. MCP750/MCPN750 CompactPCI Backpanel Networking Patch If the CPV3060 is to be used in a shared memory network with the MCP750 and possibly the MCPN750, then the MCP750/MCPN750 CompactPCI Backpanel Networking Patch must be installed on the MCP750 BSP and MCPN750 BSP. This patch will upgrade the Wind River MCP750 BSP version 1.2/3 to version 1.2/4. It will upgrade the Wind River MCPN750 BSP version 1.2/0 to version 1.2/1. It adds support to these BSPs when using CompactPCI backpanel networking with the CPV3060 or PPMC750 boards. This patch will only work with the Tornado 2.0 versions of the MCP750 and MCPN750 BSPs from Wind River.
