DS1963 Monetary demo 1.00 4/21/99
This demonstration is a set of 3 small applications
with common files.
MonInit.exe - initialize the DS1963 with 2 files. INFO.000 that
contains 'business card' information and MONY.101
that contains a signed money file.
MonView.exe - reads and displays the info and money balance. Money
balance signature is checked to make sure it is
authentic.
MonDec.exe - decrement a specified amount of money from the money
file.
These applications read the 'default 1-Wire Net' port as
defined when installed the iButton-TMEX Runtime Environment (32-bit).
They require version 3.10 or newer.
The money file is verified with a SHA-1 hash. Part of the
hashed data is a 'secret' that should be unique to each
money vendor. The 'secret' is located in the SECRET.H file.
Note that this 'secret' is vulnerable to someone that could
de-compile this program. Another usage scenario uses the
Crypto iButton to secure the secret and do the SHA-1 hash.
These applications were developed with Microsoft C++ 5.0
with the source in the 'source' directory.
