说明:  GPU实现的MapReduce framework,对于学习并行编程和cuda平台的编程方面有着极好的参考价值,里面附带论文。用户要求有NViDIA显卡,并且安装cuda编程环境。
(We design and implement Mars, a MapReduce framework, on graphics processors (GPUs). MapReduce is a distributed programming framework originally proposed by Google for the ease of development of web search applications on a large number of commodity CPUs. Compared with CPUs, GPUs have an order of magnitude higher computation power and memory bandwidth, but are harder to program since their architectures are designed as a special-purpose co-processor and their programming interfaces are typically for graphics applications.)

Mars Project Top README File Last revised 23th August. 2008 1. What is Mars --------------- Mars is a MapReduce framework on graphics processors. The current distribution runs on the Microsoft windows operating system. However, it is easy to port the code to Linux, with few modification. 2. What is Provided ------------------- The Mars distribution includes the following directories: *doc: our PACT'08 full paper. *DataGen: experimental data generator. *MarsLib: the source code of Mars framework, about 8000 lines totally. *sample_apps: the source code for the twelve web applications used to evaluate Mars. *MarsAppTemplate: those who are interested in Mars, could write their own applications by modifying this template. 3. Features ----------- 1) Write simple code to perform GPU computation. 2) Write almost the same code with 1) to perform CPU computation, mostly, for debug. 3) GPU/CPU co-processing. 4) Process massive data in disk files. 4.
