(CANDIDE-3 has been derived from the original one. The main purpose of another model is to simplify animation by MPEG-4 Facial Animation Parameters .Therefore, about 20 vertices have been added, most of them corresponding to MPEG4 feature points. This model is called Candide-3 and is included in the WinCandide package.

WinCandide Light Package v1.5
WinCandide is a program for playing with face models and images.
A face model can be loaded from a wfm-file, and be manipulated
using global parameters (rotation, translation, shape), shape
parameters (modifying the head shape), and animation parameters
(performing actions like opening the mouth). Images can be loaded
as backgrounds and mapped on the model as a texture.
WinCandide Light has all functionality of WinCandide, except the
automatic adaptation of a face model to an image and tracking in
a video sequence.
WinCandide is postcardware; if you use it, please send a postcard
with a picture from your home town or university to the address
below. If you don't bother to send a real postcard, you could at
least send an electronic one.

the DLLs and make them public (whenever I get the time...).

News in version 1.5

Basically no changes in the GUI.
News in version 1.4
===================
There has been a lot of changes, mainly due to remake of
the supporting DLLs. Also, many bugs have removed (and
probably a bunch of new one have been introduced)..
The main changes in the GUI are:
* The model can be viewed as vertices instead of triangles.
* WinCandide settings now stored in the Windows registry
(HKCU/Software/Eru/WinCandide).
* The window (and the gl viewport) is fully resizable.
* Background images are scaled to fit the viewport.
* Background images do not need to be square.
* Models can be exported as wrl-files (File->Export->VRML).
* Reads/writes Sun rasterfiles (*.ras).
