STATCOMfuzzy.rar - This paper deals with the design and implementation of
a multilevel voltage source converter based static synchronous
compensator (STATCOM) employing an effective modulation
control technique simulated in a MATLAB Simulink
environment. The main objective of this paper is to maintain the
voltage stability by compensating the reactive power in the power
system. Hence, a new efficient control strategy is proposed, in
order to reduce the voltage fluctuations like sag and swell
conditions and also to isolate current and voltage harmonics in
the transmission system. The multilevel STATCOM which can be
used at the point of common coupling (PC C), for improving
power quality is modelled and simulated using proposed control
strategy and the performance is compared by applying it to an
llOkv line with and without STATCOM. Relative Harmonic
analysis is also discussed in this paper based on the total

TPS09.rar - Power electronics plays an important role in controlling
the grid-connected renewable energy sources. This paper
presents a novel adaptive neuro-fuzzy control approach for
the renewable interfacing inverter. The main objective is to
achieve smooth bidirectional power flow and nonlinear unbalanced
load compensation simultaneously, where the conventional
proportional-integral controller may fail due to the rapid change
in the dynamics of the highly nonlinear system. The combined
capability of neuro-fuzzy controller in handling the uncertainties
and learning from the processes is proved to be advantageous
while controlling the inverter under fluctuating operating conditions.

electrifications, researches are focused on hybrid power system
which provides sustainable power. The variable voltage and
frequency of the self excited induction generator (SEIG) is

D.C voltage level and fed to common D.C bus. The variable output
voltage of PV module is controlled by DC/DC converter using
proposed fuzzy logic controller and fed to common D.C bus. The
DC bus collects the total power from the wind and photovoltaic
system and used to charge the battery as well as to supply the A.C
loads through inverter. A dynamic mathematical model and
MATLAB simulations for the entire scheme is presented. Results

and distribution grids with high penetration of distributed
generation. This paper proposes a voltage support control scheme
for grid-connected power sources under voltage sags. The control
is based on the injection of reactive current with a variable ratio between
positive and negative sequences. The controller determines,
also, the amount of reactive power needed to restore the dropped
voltage magnitudes to new reference values confined within the
continuous operation limits required in grid codes. These reference
values are chosen in order to guarantee low current injection
