|==============================| Complex Systems Toolbox v2.03 |===c=======s=======t==========| [for Scilab-4.0 (and later)] This toolbox measures some parameters for graphs representing complex systems, for simple and weighted graphs (always indirected). This version has the following parameters/tools: - degree distribution - clustering - average neighboring degree - betweenness - shell index of nodes (related with 'k-core decomposition') - strength distribution - weighted clustering - average neighboring strength - weighted betweenness - We have also implemented a function to load a graph from an ASCII file: each edge of the graf is represented by a line with the nodes, e.g. a line "20 45" means that there is an edge between nodes 20 and 45. - We have also implemented a function to load a weighted graph from an ASCII file: each edge of the graf is represented by a line with the nodes and a weigth, e.g. a line "20 45 7" means that there is an edge between nodes 20 and 45 with weight 7. The demo includes the scientific (weighted and unweighted) collaboration graph of the cond-mat category (arXiv) from January 1995 to November 1995. Installation ============ Close Scilab. Unpack the toolbox and save the content under the 'contrib' directory. This folder is inside the scilab root directory (e.g. '/usr/lib/scilab-4.0/' for UNIX, or 'c:\Program Files\scilab-4.0\' for Windows). After re-starting Scilab, click on the 'Editor' option from the upper menu, and open the file '<scilab_root>/contrib/Complex_Systems/builder.sce' . Then, click on 'Execute' (menu at top) and select 'Load into Scilab'. At this time you have succesfuly istalled the toolbox. Try the demostration with complex_systems_demo(). Each time you will use any function from the toolbox, you will need to load it into Scilab workspace. For that, open the 'toolboxes' menu and select the option 'Complex_Systems".
